Hayley lives in Hastings, East Sussex and she is a folk singer, songwriter and guitarist. Her musical roots are unashamedly alt-country and folk, with sometimes dark yet affirming songs that speak of haunted pasts and everyday struggle. Hayley's timeless songwriting and soulful voice carry the weight of many lifetimes.
She performs solo, with a full band and also as a trio with harmony vocalists Lizzie Rafati and Victoria Howarth. The trio formed in 2016 and together they realise ethereal 3 part harmony arrangements for her live shows. Their group sound has been likened to Sandy Denny and Gillian Welch, and their delivery is a testament to their friendship and deep connection through the songs.
‘Hayley Savage’ (self-titled) is a collection of deeply personal songs written between 2011-2021. It was recorded and produced in Hastings from 2021- 2024 and self-released on 11th April 2025. The album is a celebration of Hayley’s love of Americana, Country and Folk music and a project that she co-produced with Producer and Recording Engineer, John Nicholls (audioracket).
Touring her latest release with full band, stripped back and solo, through April / May ‘25, the album has been well received by audiences at record stores and music venues in Bexhill - on- Sea, Hastings, Brighton, London and in The Netherlands.
Savage has received great acclaim for her new record, read the full review by John Lee in Americana Uk - 8/10…‘An album over a decade in the making but that time has been well-spent producing songs that are intimate and authentic….. This is an album that lingers—not just in melody, but in feeling—long after the final note fades.’
